Yesterday, we held another in a series of working sessions on the further development of the FASPAS platform within the KIT4SME project, which aims to enhance the resource planning process in SMEs by utilizing AI and incorporating the fatigue component into the planning process.

The technical team of DMV, together with partners from Virtuona, is developing an API protocol for data exchange between the existing resource tracking system and the new improved system that includes this component.

KITT4SME invited SMEs and midcaps from the AI-developer community with a proposition for the manufacturing industry to join the project and gain access to technical know-how and the chance to create ‘success stories’ for their solutions through the project’s pilot experiments. 53 proposals were submitted to the Type-B Open Call, and 7 of them were selected for funding with a total of €1.318.622 awarded to the winners.

FASPAS

(Fatigue aware semantics for planning and scheduling in discrete manufacturing)

FASPAS addresses the challenge of scaling up the number of work orders in a discrete manufacturing environment by leveraging automatic generation of plans and schedules. The aim is to optimize manufacturing operation as well as workforce in mass production of heterogeneous custom products. When dynamic aspects such as physiological state and fatigue of employee are taken into consideration the problem becomes even more challenging. Main benefits include cost reduction, reliable commitments to customers, improved production throughput as well as higher job satisfaction level in the workplace. In order to integrate all aspects of the problem, FASPAS semantically annotates data from FaMS, an AI-based KITT4SME component, that analyzes physiological data indicating fatigue acquired by wearable devices (such as blood pressure, heart rate, galvanic skin response) together with static characteristics (skills, age, work experience and similar). The semantically annotated datasets will be used for semantics-based reasoning in order to perform optimal work order planning and scheduling taking into account all relevant factors.

According to targeted objectives, some of business related drivers could be structured as follows:

• Value and number of tasks per unit of time – should be used as a measure of overall operation efficiency
• Employee positive attitude and satisfaction – measure of probability of injuries and employee turnover rate
• Fulfillment rate of the norm time – measured by a percentage with respect to historical data

We had the honor and immense pleasure to host one of the most important basketball players of Yugoslav and Serbian basketball, Mr. Zeljko Rebraca, on Friday – February 19, 2021. The former member of the Yugoslav national team and a player of numerous clubs in Europe and the NBA league, winner of the most important medals in basketball, visited DMV and on that occasion spoke about his rich career, but also about the Basketball Academy Rebraca, which he is the founder and owner.

During his visit DMV donated  two sports scoreboards S10A and S57V-SC. The supplied devices are multi-sport purpose, they can be used for football, basketball, volleyball and handball, which makes them ideal for sports camps, academies and tournaments. These two models can be used as portable devices because of the small dimensions.

It is our pleasure to present you a new device of our sports boards.
Referee substitution board for professional football and soccer leagues.  FBSP-4-250-DS.
With thirty years of experience and implementation of modern technologies the device is completely adapted to the requirements of professional football referees and football clubs with whom we have collaborated on this project.
The device is user friendly, with modern design and great visibility in all weather conditions.
Device is designed to have enough advertisement space for sponsors.
DMV has a desire to complete the range of products and to keep position of leader in Serbia and region regarding production of different scoreboards.
From the last weekend our device is used in the Linglong Tire Super League of Serbia, which is another indicator of the quality and trust shown to us by sports associations and clubs.

After successfully completed competition for high school students with topic „Automatic LED boards testing software “, DMV held an awards ceremony on November 3rd 2020 in compliance with epidemiological recommendations.

Students from Bora Stanković and Svetozar Marković high schools from Niš participated in this competition. Nearly 20 teams with 3-5 members participated. Traditionally, more than 50 years the graduates of these high schools are one of the best students at Faculty of Electronics and Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics. Main idea of the competition was to enforce programmers interest in real time hardware controlling applications.

Two teams shared the first place. Teams „Fraeri“ and „Magma“ won a 1250 EUR coupon for IT equipment.
Team members are as follows :

• Team „Fraeri” – Nikola Ilić, Nikola Mitrović, Dimitrije Stanojević;
• Team „Magma“ – Luka Ivković, Radivoje Milutinović, Dušan Mitrović, Veljko Stošić, Anrija Ranđelović.

Total prize for second and third placed teams was merged and shared between teams “Radi DMV vozi BMW”, “Znak” and “Saut Serbia Džiberi+”. Mentioned teams won a 850 EUR coupon each for IT equipment.

• Team “Saut Serbia Džiberi+” – Veljko Toljić, Dimitrije Treskavica, Jovan Arizanović, Marko Milenković, Momčilo Tošić.

It was very difficult for our jury to decide about placement. Members of jury team were Nikola Stojanović, Jovica Jović and Dušan Šarković.

DMV company is  eager to continue cooperation with all high schools and Faculties in Niš.  We find it very important to increase the number of students who are familiar with real time programming and to gain a  sense for milliseconds and understand hardware once they graduate.

We want to congratulate to all participants and professors and we wish them luck in their further academic and business life.

The virus spread the planet in less than 3 months. Now the most important thing is to protect employees. The first detected case in Serbia was on 6th March and we at DMV immediately introduced strict safeguards and formed a committee for their implementation and monitoring. We also reorganized the employees spatially and temporally in order to make bigger space and time distinction between the people. Some of the employees are working from home. We decided to encourage conference communication, both internally and externally. Our choice is Zoom platform. Join us, install it and add us using our e-mail addresses.

We are grateful to our friends from China, Sunny and Taoy Ma, who sent us masks when they were impossible to find in Serbia.

DMV’s 28^th birthday party was held last week. We used this opportunity to express gratitude to all of our friends, partners and new employees, who were employed during 2019. for participating in business successes we had during last year.

Those successes are visible through:

1259 working orders that were opened and 14496 devices produced, 784 PCB boards that were produced, 642 softwares written and 62 work places opened.

We started with spatial reorganization of the firm and building and equipping 6 new laboratories that will be accredited during 2020.

New production line for producing PCB boards was commissioned. This took us to higher level of productivity and flexibility of production.

New automatic tester of PCB boards was introduced which made testing of the boards easier and faster.

Another novelty is ERP system for planning and monitoring work orders, which leads to better planning and makes fulfilling work orders easier.

We are by far the most proud of the fact that we grew from small to a medium sized company.

Given all of the above we decided to make new visual identity which will be modern and noticeable as well as our products are.

Today, our products are recognizable in Niš and Serbia as well as they are all around the world.

After all of the above we can conclude that easier part of work has been done. In front of us is harder part of work which is to contain business performances on last years level and to strive to continuous improvement and development of the company. What distinguishes our employees from employees at other firms are traits like motivation to work, will to improve professional knowledges, dynamism and proactivity. Those are values that we will try to nurture in the future.

Accomplished results are motive for us to work harder, learn more careful and plan our activities smarter.

Given the fact that we had a successful year during which we worked really hard, we decided to relax and have some fun after the presentation of results gained during last 28 years. We leave it to you to appraise if we had a good time based on the photos below.

DMV believes that young people are those to have the best ideas and enthusiasm to realize them. We collaborate with students organization AIESEC for several years, and that is how we meet young people and give them a chance to get in touch with business models of local companies that are planetary successful. We strive to target the young to gain skills that will help them to start their careers and be successful. Beside mentioned, we would like to use the opportunity to meet young people at conferences, to motivate and inspire them to think global and act local. We also tend to direct them to develop business skills that will be key to success.

Having regard to the foregoing, on 26. of November 2019. at the ‘’Oficirski dom’’ in Niš, our collegues Milica Cvetković and Filip Janković will give the lecture named “Giving the effective feedback” at Youth Speak forum organized by students organization AIESEC. To round out the whole process we will organize visit to our company after the conference.

DMV took participation on traid fair “ ROAD EXPO ” that was held from 04. 06 – 07.06.2019. in Moscow. We participated in collaboration with firm Invar-Eltrans. Beside products that are well known to our associates we used this opportunity to present our brand new products such as: remote control software for managing signs via Cloud Server, tunnel illumination signs, portable traffic lights for alternating vehicles, mobile signalization etc.

This fair was the great opportunity for consolidation of acquaintances with current and potential associates and making new acquaintances and chances for future partnerships with suppliers and customers from all over the world.
