Pedestrian safety signs

The Intelligent Pedestrian Crossing System is designed to timely alert drivers of pedestrians who are starting or have started to cross the pedestrian crossing.

This system is equipped with a camera for pedestrian detection, which remains effective even in reduced visibility conditions caused by weather, insufficient street lighting, light pollution, or the position of the pedestrian crossing.

An additional advantage of the system is its ability to be configured to the conditions and requirements of the installation site, as well as its independent power supply.

System Components

  • An AI camera for automatic pedestrian detection activates the signaling system only when pedestrians begin to cross the street.
  • LED floodlights provide additional illumination of the pedestrian crossing.
  • A variable traffic sign with the text “STOP” and flashing lights, manufactured in accordance with EN12966, provides clear, direct signaling to drivers in real time.
  • Internally illuminated sign produced according to EN12899.
  • The control unit with RF communication coordinates the operation of all system components.
  • Piezzo siren for audible warning of both pedestrians and drivers.
  • 4G router for remote access, monitoring, and system control

System description and mode of operation:

Both cameras (2) face the opposite side of the roadway, enabling them to monitor and detect pedestrians within the Alarm Zone (1). Alarm Zone can be adjusted via the camera application even after installation, giving you control over the system’s configuration.

When a camera detects a pedestrian in the Alarm Zone, it sends an alarm signal to the control unit, which activates the LED variable signalization (3) above the illuminated signs (4). An RF transmitter simultaneously activates signals on both sides of the pedestrian crossing, alerting drivers when a pedestrian is detected. The mode of operation and the duration for which the LED signalization will remain active after pedestrian detection are adjustable.
